Detection of Abrupt Changes:Theory and Application

The common feature of the above problems is the fact that the problem of interest is the detection of one or several abrupt changes in some characteristic properties of the considered object. The key difficulty is to detect intrinsic changes that are not necessarily directly observed and that are measured together with other types of perturbations.
