Lab 7: Norton ghost
1. Sử dụng norton ghost
Bước 1: sử dụng partition magic chia đĩa cứng thành 4 ổ theo tỷ lệ 10g:6g:10g: còn lại.
Bước 2: phục hồi Windows XP từ đĩa CD ghost Windows XP – mua ở cửa hàng.
- boot máy từ đĩa hirrent, vể msdos
- tại dấu nhắc dos, nhập lệnh ghost
- patition from image
- đặt đĩa Windows XP ghost CD1 vào ổ.
- sau khi chọn patition from image, ghost sẽ đưa ra 1 bảng yêu cầu bạn chỉ đường dẫn tới file
image, chọn ổ đĩa CDrom. Chọn file .gho
- sau đó ghost sẽ yêu cầu chọn patition để tời ghost: công việc này là công đoạn nguy hiểm
nhất trong sử dụng ghost, nếu chọn sai patition đích thì cũng có nghĩa là các dữ liệu trên
patition đó cũng bị mất, chọn partiton đầu tiên cài.
- thông báo cảnh báo xuất hiện, chọn Yes.
- quá trình restore bắt đầu
- boot lại máy từ đĩa cứng
Bước 3:
- Windows XP sẽ tiến hành nhận dạng và cài đặt driver cho các thiết bị
- restart computer
- cài đặt các driver còn thiếu
- chạy thử các chương trình có sẵn
- cài đặt các chương trình thông dụng còn thiếu

Bước 4: sao lưu dự phòng Windows XP
- boot máy từ đĩa hirrent, về msdos
- tạo thư mục f:\backup – (đĩa này phải là fàt)
- nhập lệnh ghost
- chọn local, partition to image
- Một cửa sổ mới hiện ra, sẽ liệt kê tất cả các ổ cứng có trên máy tính, chọn ổ cứng cài đặt hệ
điều hành và nhấn Ok..
- Sau khi chọn xong, ổ cứng đó sẽ liệt kê tất cả các phân vùng có trên đó. Chọn phân vùng
đầu, Ok
- Tiếp đó, máy sẽ yêu cầu chọn nơi lưu file ghost.
- Chọn d:\backup
- Nhập tên file: winXP.gho, chọn Save
- Sau cùng, một bảng Compress Image hiện ra với ba mức nén, No-Fast-Hight. Chọn Hight
để file ghost nén lại nhỏ nhất.

Bước 5: Khôi phục lại Windows XP từ bản sao lưu dự phòng
- Boot từ đĩa hirent, về msdos
- Format c:/q
- Boot lại máy từ ổ cứng, Windows XP khôg khởi động được
- Boot từ đĩa hirent, về msdos
- Nhập lệnh ghost
- Chọn patition from image
- Chọn đĩa d:\backup
- Chọn file winXP.gho
- Chọn partition đích đến là partition đầu tiên
- Sau khi quá trình ghost hòan thành, khởi động lại máy từ đĩa cứng.

2. Tạo file ghost winXP cho nhiều cấu hình phần cứng
Bước 1: cài đặt Windows XP và tất cả chương trình cần thiết vào một máy tính bất kỳ.
Bước 2: vào thư mục c:\Windows\driver cache\i386, mở file driver.cab rồi trích (extract) các
tập tin atapi.sys, intelIDE.sys, pciIDE.sys và pciIDEx.sys vào thư mục
c:\Windows\system32\drivers.
Bước 3: chạy tập tin mergeIDE.reg. Tạo tập tin mergeIDE.reg bằng cách copy tòan bộ nội
dung in đậm bên dưới vào notepad và lưu lại dưới tên "mergeIDE.red".
Bước 4: khởi động lại máy tính vào chế độ safemode, vào device manager uninstall các driver
của vga, sound card, chipset hoặc uninstall tất cả driver.
Bước 5: shutdown và khởi động lại máy tính bằng đĩa CD có chương trình ghost. Ghost
partition hệ điều hành ra image.
File ghost vừa tạo có thể dùng ghost qua các máy tính có cấu hình phần cứng khác.
Chú ý: file này có thể tìm trên internet
